My bus home from the city is right outside the QVB, and at the entrance there's a shoe shining stand.
Is it just me, or is there something really medieval about sitting on a high chair while somebody is on their knees, polishing your shoes.
I'm not sure i could get it done without feeling like an asshole.

oh i didnt mean the homeless guy in pitt st mall. there's a professional stand at the entrance of qvb. the staff probably get paid alright, too. but i just don't like it.
good. cos i like that guy. he spins a good yarn. and he's had a shit of a go at it.
as for pro shoe shining, i think i'd feel like an asshole too. some people enjoy that feeling i suppose.
